WHY, HELLO

I have returned! How've you been? I've been good. I'm all married and stuff now. I'll tell you what, it's pretty cool, this whole marriage business. Except for having to wear a ring, that's not all it's cracked up to be. But I'd probably make an exception if I won a Super Bowl or something, so I guess I can make one for my wife, too.

"My wife", that still feels neat to say. I said it a lot on the honeymoon, often to the degree of ridiculousness, just because I liked saying it. Instead of "Charity" or even "she" and "her", it was always "my wife". "Yes, my wife and I just checked into our room, and my wife was wondering if you had a menu for room service, because my wife is really hungry and my wife would like..." and so on and so forth. I'm sure nobody thought it was funny but us, but who cares. Lousy foreigners.

Our honeymoon was quite nice, we partied hearty all over the lovely lands of Europe. But it's good to be home now and we're getting all settled into our new house. All that traveling gets to be really tiring, so when we first got home we barely got out of bed for about two whole days. I don't think our sleeping schedules have adjusted from it yet, as even now I'm wide awake at 2 in the morning and Charity went to bed earlier tonight around 8. But it gives me time to write this here Purple Diary entry and catch up on various other things that I've been missing out on.

Tomorrow we're gonna get our dog and bring him home. He's been at Charity's mom's house since we left, but we haven't been ready to have him at home yet. It would have been hard to walk and feed him while we were sleeping for 2 days. But boy oh boy, was he happy to see us when we got back. I've never seen anything like it. He actually had a smile on his face. I haven't been licked that many times since... well, since the honeymoon. My goodness, that's terrible. Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize.

Charity's mom told us that the dog barely ate anything for the first 3 weeks after we left, like he thought we weren't coming back or something. She didn't tell us that anytime during the honeymoon, since she rightly knew that we and especially Charity would worry. But I guess he started acting more normally after a month or so. Still, he went nuts when we came back. He's a good dog.

I'm sitting here in my STUDY as I write this. I have a study! It's fairly empty except for the desk I'm sitting in front of, the chair I'm sitting on, my computer which I'm using, and lots of empty wooden shelves on the walls. Charity was torn between calling it a "study" or an "office", but I definitely prefer study because it sounds so much more sophisticated. Then my plan is to contrast that sophistication by filling the shelves with my wrestling tapes and video games.

I really don't have a lot to say, as you may have figured out by this point. I just wanted to say "hi, I'm back" like I promised I would. So... hi! I'm back!

I don't know if or when I'll update this again, being that my scholastic requirements are finally behind me. I'll probably do it every now and then, I guess. On evenings like this when I can't sleep. Writing this made me kinda tired though, so I think I'm gonna go to bed.
